These days I’m watching the games of the best youth tournament in the world, #Copinha22. Could this be the year of Palmeiras champion?
I say that it is the best youth tournament for the number of fans who watch the games in the stands of the soccer fields and for the importance that Brazilian television gives to the tournament, broadcasting the games to those who are far from São Paulo.
We could compare #Copinha with tournaments like the #YouthLeague, but I think the number of fans who go to stadiums is much higher in the Brazilian tournament.
I also say that it is the best base tournament for the amount of “talent” you can find. Endrick, Figueiredo, Caio Matheus, Felipe Redaelli.
But this year I started to notice that many of the goals were made from set pieces and, after analyzing all the goals in the group stage, I can say that more than 40% of these goals came from this type of play.
Despite this, we must thank Charles Miller and Oscar Cox for bringing these first soccer balls to the country, making it possible for us today to enjoy this incredible talent that is born from this beloved homeland, Brazil.
